Black Panthers och det socialistiska Kina

Såhär sade Black Panthers-ledaren Huey Newton då han besökte Kina år 1971, mitt under pågående Kulturrevolution:

"Everything I saw in China demonstrated that the People’s Republic is a free and liberated territory with a socialist government (...) To see a classless society in operation is unforgettable."

Nu var ju det socialistiska Kina (1949-1976) visserligen inte något klasslöst samhälle, utan ett samhälle som med arbetarklassens makt och med proletär kulturrevolution byggde socialism och fortsatte klasskampen för att gå vidare mot det klasslösa samhället. Men citatet är ett av många exempel på den enorma inspiration som den kinesiska revolutionen (och framför allt Kulturrevolutionen) var för revolutionärer över hela världen, och inte minst för de svartas kamp i USA. En inspiration som reaktionärerna till varje pris vill utrota minnet av. Medborgarrättskämpen Robert F. Williams uttalade sig så här om Mao Tse-tung:

"This is the era of Mao Tse-Tung, the era of world revolution and the Afro-American's struggle for liberation is a part of an invincible world-wide movement.  Chairman Mao was the first world leader to elevate our people's struggle to the fold of the world revolution."

Som vi skrivit om tidigare, så närmade sig Malcolm X marxismen under slutet av sitt liv och visade tydligt att han förstod vad sann antiimperialism innebär. Så här sade han i en intervju:

"I go for Mao Tse-tung much more than Nehru because I think that Nehru brought his country up in a beggar’s role. Their roles, the role of India and its reliance upon the West during the years since it got its supposed independence, has it today just as helpless and dependent as it was when it first got its independence. Whereas in China, the Chinese fought for their independence. They became militant right from the outstart, and today they’re...even though they aren’t loved, they are, they are respected. Though the West doesn’t love them, the West respects them. Now, the West doesn’t respect India, but it loves India". (Malcolm X)

I augusti 1963 gjorde Mao Tse-tung ett uttalande om de svartas kamp i USA:
